Football Australia communications have improved dramatically of late and across the Socceroos and Matildas sites in particular you can find feature video content and match reporting.

KeepUp is the Media Platform of the Australian Professional Leagues and a big part of their A-League business plan. Here you can find breaking A-League news, match reports, video content and analysis across the Men’s and Women’s competition as well as excellent Australian Football content, podcasts and analysis from abroad. The platform has been improving steadily and produced the excellent A-League All Access series during the 2023 season. The platform is part of the marketing push of the A-League though and has a tendency to ‘cheerlead’ the competition and generate tabloid style stories complete with sensationalist headlines.

FTBL

FTBL was once the mighty FourFourTwo Australia. Although a shadow of its former self the page provides frequent and up to date written content on Australian football and has a large old school internet forum with a long established history. The platform content, although plentiful, infrequently breaks news and has in the past pumped out tabloid style articles based on dubious second hand information.

The National Broadcaster’s Football platform via ABC Sport provides frequent Australian Football news and updates and more extensive reporting on the A-League Women Competition than other outlets. Notable journalist Samantha Lewis is a frequent contributor. The Sydney Morning Herald (and by extension its sister publication The Age) published frequent Australian Football Content and more in depth feature stories.
