Irankunda becomes A-League Men’s youngest hattrick scorer in Adelaide win

Nestory Irankunda has once again demonstrated why he is Australia’s hottest young talent after scoring a hattrick in Adelaide’s 4-1 win against Western United.

The young forward opened the scoring to give Adelaide a 1-0 win at the break before lifting his again to another level in the second half

Irankunda scored twice in just two minutes to give Adelaide an unassailable lead and make himself the A-League Men’s youngest ever hat-trick scorer.

Michael Ruhs would get one back for Western United but Adelaide would restore their three goal lead when Zach Clough converted his 80th minute penalty.

After the match hundreds of fans were allowed onto the pitch to celebrate the win and waited patiently for signatures from the Adelaide players, with Irankunda, understandably attracting the most attention.

The result leaves Western United rooted at the bottom of the table while Adelaide keep their very slim finals hopes alive.
